A bright finish to the Internationals at Sha Tin

3 minute read

Japanese runner Win Bright was the surprise winner of the QEII Cup at Sha Tin with the elegant grey beating the favourite Exultant.

The Japanese mare Lys Gracieux was third and Glorious Forever fourth.

Earlier there was no  pace in the Sprint which did not suit Santa Ana Lane who was also probably too far back and finished fourth, with the locla favourite Beat The Clock taking the win ahead of Rattan and Little Giant.

It was a walk in the park for Beauty Generation who strolled through to win an 8th consecutive race over the mile and Singapore Sling who is also entered in the Yasuda Kinen ran a nice second.

The weather stayed fair with a bit of cloud and lots of sun.  Don't have the numbers yet but looked like a good crowd.
