Day 2 of the Punchestown Festival will see the clash between Al Boum Photo and Kemboy in the Gold Cup Chase Gr 1.

Paul Townend had a race to forget in this last year but is coming here after a very successful Cheltenham and is about to be crowned champion jockey so his ride on Al Boum Photo in this gets them a quote of 6/4, with stablemates Kemboy on the same quote and Bellshill 9/2.  Kemboy fell at the first at Cheltenham but did well at Aintree and is the ride of Ruby Walsh so it looks like it could be a good go.

The Novice Hurdle Gr 1 sees Minella Lad on 3/1 for Henry de Bromhead and Racheal Blackmore after they won the Albert Bartlet at Cheltenham by 9 lengths.  Allaho and Commander of Fleet re-oppose in this.  Ground is still yielding.

Yesterday Un De Sceaux got the better of Min by 4 lengths to win the Champion Chase Gr 1.  In the Novice version Delta Work stormed home to win by 12 lengths from Discorama with A Plus Tard third.
