There are a number of races branded as "trials" for the Royal Ascot versions to come with the two G3s the most interesting.
The big ticket is the return of Calyx in the Pavillion Stakes over 1200m after having been off the track for nearly a year. A very promising 2yo who was injured in that year and now comes out as a promising 3yo, with the aim to be eased up in trip to the 1600m. Gosden-Dettori here of course means a quote of 8/11, with Signora Cabello the next best on 11/4.
The Sagaro Stakes over 3200m is a Gold Cup Trial with 7 runners. Gosden-Dettori are here with weekender on 9/4, Dee Ex Bee is on 11/4 and Verdana Blue on 4/1.
Track is good to firm.
