At Tokyo on Sunday the undefeated Loves Only You set a new race record as she flew up the outside to grab the race in the last 100m.

Curran Boutiqued’or looked to have the race won until the winner came rushing by at the last minute and win by a neck.   Chrono Genesis was 2 ½ lengths back in third and Victoria also produced a fast finish – the second fastest over the last 600 after the winner – to take fourth with Danon Fantasy fifth.

No luck for Damian Lane who had Contra Check in a great position through the race until that infamous last 200m and they went backwards after that.

There was a great and enthusiastic crowd on hand of around 60,000 – let’s see what it will be next Sunday for the Derby!  The flying horsebox is heading to Japan to take in that race and the Yasuda Kinen the following Sunday.
