After his second with Arctic Sound is the German 2000 Guineas last weekend, this week he collected the first prize in the 1000 Guineas.

This was the 99th edition of the race and saw Johnstone’s Main Edition win by a neck from Axana, trained by Andreas Wöhler.  Third home was interesting as the horse Shalona, trained by Henk Grewe, was ridden by Mongolian jockey Bayersaikin Ganbat.
