Upsets continue in feature races

3 minute read

The Yasuda Kinen has been won by Indy Champ, who had run second to Danon Premium in the Yomiuri Miler's Cup and was 4th favourite

Almond Eye was the odds-on favourite and she finished third although she put in a valiant effort in the finish in her first start since coming back from Dubai.  The other female in the race Aerolithe got a dream run along the rails and managed to grab the second spot.

Danon Premium who was fancied by many was sweating up a lot before the race was pulled up just after crossing the line but was able to walk into the horse ambulance so hopefully it isn't too bad.

The weather was overcast but quite pleasant and a crowd of around 70,000 was on hand to enjoy the day.

Damien Lane rode a G3 winner at Hanshin yesterday and  won of the earlier races in Tokyo.  Christophe Lemaire on his returm weekend rode one winner yesterday and a double earlier in the day.
