Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud 2019

3 minute read

It will be cooler on Sunday in France but still around 30 and sunny.

This may affect on the horses who are traveling longer distances even if they are in nice air-conditioned floats so we are a bit wary of the chances of some of the raiders.

This happens in the G2 Prix Malleret for the fillies which is over 2400m.  There are 7 in the field and in the UK Mehdaayh is on 5/4 for Gosden-Dettori.  That's a bit too skinny for us so we are going for Freddy Head's Merimbula 4/1 and Edisa 5/1 - de Royer-Dupre and Soumillon.

The Grand-Prix G1 is over 2400m with 7 runners and it is fairly open.   Gosden-Dettori have Coronet who ticks most of the boxes and is 5/2 so that is reasonable.  We like the local Morgan Le Faye, a Fabre Godolphin on 6/1 in the UK.

The Prix Eugène Adam sees the local Flop Shot on 7/4 for Fabre-Guyon.  There are only 6 starters with our roughie being the long shot Skazino on 10/2.  Comes with good provincial form and Cedric Rossi has booked Soumillon for the ride.
