Saturday's card has 5 graded stakes races with the the Oaks and the Classic both Gr !.
Starting off there's the Gr 3 Green Flash where last year's winner Stormy Liberal comes back for another go at the 1000m turf. 8/5 is the quote and next best Eddie Haskell is on 9/5.
The Del Mar Handicap Gr 2 presented by the Japan Racing Association is for 3y+ over 1900m on the turf. There's a field of 9 headed by the Argentinian-bred The Great Day on 5/2 with United on 3/1 and we rather like Itsinthepost on 7/2.
The Torrey Pines is Gr 3 for 3yo fillies over 1600m with Fighting Mad on 5/2 for Baffert -
Talamo, Godolphin's Classic Fit after a first graded stakes win after running second to Dunbar Road at Belmont and that horse is going to Saratoga, and Sneaking Out on 7/2.
The Del Mar Oaks has 14 runners for the 1800m Gr 1 contest. The top two are the Chad Brown shipper Cambier Parc on 5/2 and Mucho Unusual on 5/1. There's several on 8/1 so watch the betting.
The Pacific Classic Gr 1 is for 3y+ over 2000m and the market leader is Seeking the Soul, Charles Fipke's homebred, on 3/1. Pavel is on 7/2 and Quip is on 9/2.
At Saratoga the Lake Placid Gr 2 is for 3yo fillies over 1700m on the turf but it seems the field will only take 7 as the best prospect Team Win is an "also eligible" or emergency. If they don't get a run then Regal Glory on 2/1 could be a go.
The Alabama is for 3yo fillies over 2000m with a field of 9 headed by Dunbar Road, the winner of the Mother Goose at Belmont. She's on 8/5, with Point of Honour on 5/2 and 6/1 Apple Lady.
