The Geoffrey Freer and the Hungerford are two favourite races at the Newbury course.

This year's editions are quite interesting.  In the G3 Freer over 2700m aprox. there are only 5 runners and as the going is on the soft side we think The Queen's Sextant 9/2 for Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore might be able to get the better of Andrew Balding's Morando with Silvestre de Sousa on board.

The Hungerford is G2 for 3y+ down the straight 1400m and has 8 runners.  Safe Voyage is favourite probably because of the conditions and he has a quote of 2/1 while Hey Gamman is on 3/1 and we like Sir Dancelot on 4/1.
