3 minute read

So it was no surprise to find the name of the trainer – in this case it was Aidan whose Southern France got the victory in the St Leger Trial with a decisive win over Downdraft trained by Joseph whose other runner Master of Reality was a further two lengths back.

The Royal Whip was Joseph's turn to collect the trophy with Buckhurst, a very promising stayer who is probably now headed to the St Leger, as is the second Leo De Fury trained by Jessica Harrington who was only a head behind. Jim Bolger's Guaranteed was third and favourite Sir Dragonet looking as if he needed the run after finishing fourth.
