It was a very festive weekend at Deauville with a charity parade featuring Cirrus des Aigles and Solow on Saturday.
Sunday's races were highlighted by the GP and the finish saw Carlos Laffon-Parias's gelding get the victory over a fast finishing Soft Light and favourite Nagano Gold third. Vaclav Luka, the Czech trainer of Nagano Gold still plans to head to the Arc, a route that is not available to Ziyad as a gelding.
Earlier Spinning Memories won the Meautry and will probably go to the Prix de l'Abbaye and possibly to HK for the International Sprint in December.
The Quincy went to Skalleti who had firmed into 3/1 the same quote as Stunning Spirit who finished second. Lilly Kafeine was third at 22/1.
