3 minute read

Sunday's race saw Saturnalia return to top form for a clear win in the Kobe Shimbun Hai.

The Lord Kanaloa product who won the Satsuki Sho earlier in the year was too good for the rest of the field although Velox, when he got out, was doing his best work at the end but still finished up 3 lengths back.  World Premiere was another 1 ¼ lengths away in third spot.

It is possible that Saturnalia may go to the Tenno Sho where he could clash with Almond Eye and certainly on to the Japan Cup.

At Nakayama, the Sankei Sho All-comers was a bit of a surprise when Stiffelio emerged from the pack and went over the line first in front of Miki Swallow, 1 ¾ lengths away, roughie Grail who started on 21.4 got the third money ahead of favourite Rey de Oro.
