The other 5 Group 1 races.
Tis fabulous day of racing gets underway with the Prix Marcel Boussac for the 2yo fillies over 1600 with Jessica Harrington's Albigna heading the market on 2/1. Savarin is worth following as she's won her first two outings and will have Yuta Take riding – 5/2, and her stablemate from the Fabre yard is Bionic Woman, a Gdolphin France runner on 7/1.
The Jean-Luc Lagardère is for 2yo colts and fillies over 1600m and 7 run. Another Godolphin France runner heads the call here – Victor Ludorum on 6/4. We like Ecrivain who has also won her first two and is on 9/2. A roughie is Helter Skelter with Take riding for J-C Rouget.
After the Arc we have the Prix de l'Opéra over 2000m for 3y+ f&m and a field of 12. Mehdaayih heads the calls on 7/4 for Gosden-Dettori but she may be given a run for her money by two of the locals – Watch Me on 7/1 and With You on 8/1. There's another Gosden runner here in Terebellum which has been doing well.
The Prix de l'Abbaye is that mad 1000m dash on a track that diagonally crosses the infield. 16 will line up and Battaash looks good for this even if the 4/5 doesn't. Mab's Cross is 7/1 and we have a roughie here in Ken Colt on 40/1.
The Prix de la Forêt is for 3y+ over 1400m and will have 12 starters. City Light looks best of the locals on 5/2 with raider One Master on 11/2. Sir Dancelot is another raider on 7/1 and our "roughie" is the speedy Wasmya on 14/1.
