There was a deathly hush after the running of the Sha Tin Trophy on Sunday when Beauty Generation, the odds-on favourite, finished third.

There was a great battle between Rise High 15.0 and Waikuku, with Rise High getting his nose a fraction further forward at the line.  No real excuse for Beauty Generation – just wasn't his day.  While he was going for his 11th win in a row, the December Internationals are his main target this prep so connections may not be that upset.

Earlier Season's Bloom came back into flower in the Premier Bowl with a nice win over Full of Beauty and Wishful Thinker getting the third money.  Pakistan Star was doing well for a while but didn't go on with it so it's probably back to the drawing boards with him.
