One would have thought that the horses – and especially the jockeys – would have preferred to be in Florida.

However they are still in very chilly New York for the season enders. They are the Gr2 2yo races the Demoiselle and the Remsen, and the Gr 1 Cigar mile.

Tapit's daughters Maedan 7/2 and Lake Avenue 9/2 looks competitive in the Demoiselle over 1800m with Blame's talented daughter Alandra also looking good on 4/1.  12 go to post.

Forza di Oro by Speightstown is on 3/1 for the Remsen, with the Liam's Map Alpjha Sixty Six on 4/1 and Chase Tracker by Verrazano on 7/2 with 8 to run in the 1800m contest.

The Cigar Mile should be a tight battle between Maximum Security 3/2 and Spun to Run 5/2. Should those two be too busy eyeballing each other Bal Harbour 8/1 could sneak through.

There's some 2yo racing at Los Alamitos but the fields are too small to bother with.
