At Sha Tin on Sunday the Danny Shum trained Alex Badel ridden Perfect Match won the Lukfook Jewellery Cup.

The son of Not A Single Doubt headed off a strong challenge from our roughie Joyful Trinity with the former Irish runner Decrypt taking third ahead of Beauty Rush.

Decrypt will probably be headed towards the Derby but it is unlikely that Perfect Match will follow that path as he is seen as being more of a 1400m horse at this stage.

Umberto Rispoli was unable to leave Hong Kong as a winner but did manage a good fourth in the last.  He's off to California and we wish him luck.
