Following the murder of its four stallions, the Peruvian stud farm Haras Baralovento is to be sold.

The stud is nearly 68 years old, the oldest in Peru, and where the owners have invested much in the stalions that were slaughtered by a group of criminals who broke into the farm and butchered the horses.

The distraught owners feel that they have been robbed not only of their horses but their future:"they have killed our hopes, motivation and passion".

The matter is under invesigation by the Peruvian Police.
