At Sha Tin on Sunday the big Exceed and Excel grey/roan gelding Big Party ran away with the Bauhinia Sprint.

The Fankie Lor 4yo has had issues with a knee and his back since arriving in June 2018 but would seem now to be in good condition and should be able to progress to the G1 level.  In the G3 Bauhinia Sprint Big Time Baby came second, Thanks Forever third and Jolly Banner fourth.

The Cl 2 1650m on the AWT saw Glorious Artist return to winning form with Elusive State second, Buddies third and Raging Blitzkreig just getting 4th spot in front of Playa del Puente.

The win was part of a 3-timer for Zac Purton who has established a phenomenal record of riding horses who finished in the first three for a long list of meetings.

And good things come to those who wait - Lyle Hewitson finally managed to ride his first winner on Last Kingdom in the last race.  We hope that is the first of many for the young South African.
