Racing for this first day of 2020 will be at Sha Tin where the G3 Chinese Club Challenge Cup will be the feature.

It is over 1400m and has a small field of 8.  Interest here is in two horses heading for the 2020 4yo classics – Champion's Way and Golden Sixty.  Champion's Way hasn't shown the brilliance so far this season that he showed previously and John Size is trying to find a way out of this.  Joao Moreira will ride and they have a quote of 5.8.

Golden Sixty however has won 6 from 7 including 3 so far this season and gets into this with a very light weight.  Frankie Lor has kept Vincent Ho on board and their quote is the very short 1.9.

It could be worthwhile sticking with experience and Ka Ying Star comes in here – very consistent and has been working well.  Karis Teetan rides for Tony Cruz and they are on 6.1

And we love Fat Turtle – he's very game and will be under Alex Badel for Frankie Lor and they have a quote of 13.0.  For the record he isn't fat and he isn't turtle-paced!
