Charlie Appleby's report card from Meydan on Thursday looked very impressive in the G2 Al Fahidi Fort.
He saddled the first three home – Glorious Journey (a very pricey purchase) got the victory with James Doyle on board from stablemates Mythical Magic and Mubtasim who was the biggest priced on 13/2, the same quote as the US runner Blitzkrieg who was 5 lengths further back.
The 1000 Guineas went to the bin Suroor yard not with the favourite Final Song who was third but Dubai Lover ridden by Pat Cosgrave. Second again Down on Da Bayou is not far off a win.
