Victor Espinoza paid tribute to John Shirref's team after Midcourt won the San Pasqual.

Midcourt was notorious for not wanting to train and not wanting to race but he's now been turned into a horse who is eager to race and showed that on Saturday when he finished 3 ½ lengths in fron of Two Thirty Five and Combatant.

United won the San Marcos as expected and accounted for Cleopatra's Strike and Oscar Dominguez.

Bob Baffert saddled his 3000th winner with a horse called Thousand Words – as Baffert said you can't make up this stuff!
