Much relief from connections when Beauty Generation got his first win in some time in the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup. Ka Ying Star snuck in to run second ahead of early leader Hot King Prawn. Connections now have to weigh up the pros and cons of sending Beauty Generation to Dubai for the 1800m Dubai Turf.
Earlier Time Warp had turned back the clock to win the Hong Kong Gold Cup. Given his record of leading in races and then fading he went off at 25/1 but this time under Joao Moreira he didn't fade in the run in and held out Exultant. Another case of an odds-on horse not getting the G1. Citron Spirit ran well to finish third.
In the get-out race 10 well done if you picked it – Dragon General was the winner and Happy Fun the bridesmaid and Star Shine the third.
