Modernist won the second division giving Bill Mott another crack at the Derby, with Major Fed with Ny Traffic third.

Over at Golden Gate Fields Bob Baffert got his 6th win in the race when Azul Coast saluted ahead of American Farmer.

No points in the Santa Monica as it was for older horses but everyone happy with the win of the one-eyed Not Hard To Love who ran well to win from Mother Mother and Zusha.
