Despite not being 100% fit, Golden Sixty managed to win the Classic Cup and is now heading for the Derby.
Should he win, he will be in very rare company indeed. Sunday's run followed a slight set back two weeks earlier but as jockey Vincent Ho said he was only about 80% fit. Nevertheless he was able to power through a gap and win by ½ length from Champion's Way and stablemate More Than This. The disappointment was Beauty Legacy.
Amazing Beats, who won the Lek Yueen Handicap Class 2, is a Tasmanian Derby winner now with Paul O'Sullivan and he won this by a nose from favourite Columbus County by a nose with Glorious Dragon unlucky to be only third as he was blocked 200m out and the margin here a short head with a s8imilar margin back to fourth placed Super Oasis. Amazing Beats could also head to the Derby.
