The Lung Cheung Handicap over 1600m saw Simply Brilliant give jockey Derek Leung a treble.

The son of Frankel trained by Frankie Lor had a clear run throughout the race and was able to just hold on to finish a head in front of Harmony Victory giving Blake Shinn another second.  It was a blanket finish which also included Encouraging who was judged to have finished third and Fat Turtle just missing the money and then Preciousship was fifth.

Zac Purton had a 4-timer although he was out of luck in the feature when on Ka Ying Star who did have a lot of weight.
