The Gr 1 Apple Blossom for the 4yo f&m saw Californian trained horses quinella the race.

The win went to Ce Ce, who continues undefeated.  The Mike McCarthy trained mare had Victor Espinoza on board, with the jockey being able to get away to a good start to overcome the wide draw.  They have the Breeders' Cup in mind but much will depend on how racing evolves over the intervening months.

Ollie's Candy put up a great fight for a close second and Point of Honor was third.  Favourite Serengeti Empress faded on the sloppy track to finish at the wrong end of the field.
