Indy Champ was too good for them in the G2 Yomiuri Milers' Cup at Kyoto on Sunday.

Guided by Fukunaga-san he scored a soft 2 lengths win over Beste Dank who went off at 57.3 with the slightly more fancied Vin de Garde third.  The Aussie-bred Fiano Romano was scratched at the barrier as he appeared to be lame.

At Fuchu the Sankei Sports Sho Flora Stakes, the Oaks trial, went to Win Marylin in a thrilling finish with Ho O Peaceful under Damien Lane.  There was only a neck in it and it could have gone either way which makes the prospect of a rematch in the Oaks quite exciting.  And our roughie Juana was only a neck away third. Shonan Hallelujah on 22.1 was the fourth home.
