It was not a good day for favourites at Sha Tin on Sunday and that applied to the two features.
The G3 Lion Rock went to the Tony Cruz trained Ka Ying Star under a top ride from Chad Scholfield. They defeated Southern Legend with Fast Most Furious third on 22.0 and General's Delight with his light weight fourth.
The Class 2 Amah Rock was another winner for Schofield on the Chris So trained Mr Croissant who started on 12.0. All In Mind was second on 9.8 and there was a great clash for third between Lucky Express and the newcomer Armando which went to a protest but although there was interference the result stood. Lucky More was reported to have had some breathing issues but he couldn't be scoped as he was fractious even when sedated.
