It's our favourite race course but we can't be there and neither can the public.

It's the Irish 2000 Guineas this Friday and it, as well as all the other races on the card, will take place "behind closed doors".  This year's version also has a non-O'Brien runner as favourite – the Ger Lyons trained Siskin, who except for a slight episode late last year has an unblemished record.  Up in trip should not be a problem and Colin Keane knows the horse well.  2/1 the expected quote.

Then come the O'Briens – all from Aidan:  Armory is on 4/1, Lope Y Fernandez 9/2 and our roughie Royal Lytham on 10/1.

Earlier the Gallinule G3 is also for 3yos over 2000m with a field of 8.  Mythical looks the go here for Aidan with Joseph's unbeaten Crossfirehurricane on 9/4 and stablemate Choice of Mine on 6/1.

The Irish Lincolnshire has a field of 18 for the 1600m contest.  Adrian McGuinness and Colin Keane combine with Current Option who is very consistent and comes in at 5/4.  Dermot Weld's Bashiyr is on 6/1, Jessica Harrington's Tauran Sharman on 7/1 and our roughie could be Lord Rapscallion for Johnny Murtagh on 12/1.

The Mooresbridge G2 over 2100m has 9 runners headed by Fleeting for Aidan with Seamie Heffernan the head jock with Ryan Moore confined to the UK.  7/4 seems to be the quote with Weld's Search For A Song around the same mark.   We see the seasonal debut of Latrobe for Joseph and Wayne Lordan riding – 6/1 and possibly a good e/w go.
