Named in honour of one of the greatest horses of all time, the Eclipse Stakes always gathers a star-studded field.

This year the Queen (equine version) herself will top the bill as she heads towards the Arc in October.  It's so fantastic that the connections have kept her in racing for another year so that we have the chance to enjoy some more of this wonderful mare.  She's 11/10 if you are betting but I would recommend just enjoy the race.

The one most likely to cause an upset is the Godolphin runner Ghaiyyath on 2/1 for Charlie Appleby and William Buick.

If you want to have a roughie here the Japanese mare Deidre has been working the tracks down and we love her dearly and she's 25/1.

There's also the G3 Henry II over 3200m with 5 runners headed by former Melbourne Cup winner Cross Counter for Appleby-Buick on 2/1 and then Dashing Willoughby is on 3/1 for Balding-Murphy.
