Although nothing official yet the win of Twilight Payment at least should earn him a ticket to Melbourne.

On yielding ground he defeated stablemate Master of Reality by 8 lengths with Camphor a further 7 lengths back in third.

The Minstrel Stakes went to Romanised over Lancaster House with Surrounding third.

The Railway Stakes for the 2yos was a big upset to everyone including his trainer when Laws of Indices 66/1 won for Ken Condon and Chris Hayes.  He's by Power our of an Exceed And Excel mare.  Lucky Vega was ½ lengths back in second and Artician finished in front of favourite Merchants Quay for 3rd.

The Irish Oaks was another upset when Even So emerged the winner on 10/1 for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane with Cayenne Pepper second by a margin of 2 lengths and Passion third.

Sunday's card features 3 G2s – the Airlie, Sapphire and Kilboy Stakes, with the ground yielding.

The first of these has only 6 runners, is over 1200m and is for the 2yo fillies.  On form to date it should be between Frenetic and Mother Earth.

The Sapphire is over 1000m and looks like A'Ali, who is in great form this prep, can make a successful raid with Make A Challenge the threat.

The Kilbo is over 1800m for f&m and this has at least got 8 runners and each-way is possible.  However the top three in the market look pretty good here – One Voice on 5/2, Lovelier on 11/4 and Lemista on 9/2.
