At München on Sunday it was English raider Barney Roy who collected.
In the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis Bayerisches Zuchtrenen he started even money favourite for the 2000m contest.
He didn't start particularly well and jockey William Buick said he wasn't happy with the going but his class and courage got him through for another G1 to add to his CV. He's a very genuine horse and has now had 7 wins from 14 starts. He's by Excelebration out of a Galileo mare.
