Early Doors wins Galway Plate

More wins for the O'Brien family – this time for Joseph with a horse that had little experience.

And in fact had earlier been considered a bit of a no-hoper but Joseph has managed to turn round to the extent that he won this prestigious race.  Royal Rendezvous was second. Cabaret Queen third at 33/1 and The Wests Awake fourth.  Galvin was scratched and is entered for a race on Thursday but may not make that date.

Thursday's big race is the Galway Hurdle with 19 runners.  One of our favourite horses comes into this on 8/1 – Buildmeupbuttercup for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend.  He's not the favourite – that seems to be Felix Desjy for Gordon Elliott and Davy Russell on 5/1.  Hunters Call on 9/1 won this last year – he's trained by Olly Murphy who used to be assistant to Gordon Elliott.  And another favourite of ours for the roughie – Petit Mouchoir for Henry de Bromhead and Hugh Morgan on 20/1.
