Defying a huge weight burden Araman won the Galway feature for Willie and Patrick Mullins.

Willie Mullins has won this race before but Araman had to carry the biggest amount of weight, leading Patrick to declare after the race that the Champion Hurdle should be on the horizon.  Hearts Are Trumps was second on 40/1 and our roughie Petit Mouchoir third on 25/1.

Friday sees the running of the Guiness Handicap Hurdle with 20 runners.  The going is expected to be Yielding to Soft.  Willie Mullins saddles 7 of them and 4 of these go in to our picks – Canardier 5/1, My Sister Sarah 9/1, Great White Shark who ran on Monday on 10/1 and Foveros 28/1.
