It was a non-contest as the favourite easily demolished the opposition.

3 lengths was the winning margin giving Bob Baffert his 6th win in the race and giving Maximum Security an entré into the Breeders' Cup Classic.  Sharp Samurai was next best and Midcourt third of the 6 runners.

The Del Mar Oaks was a surprise win for Red Lark, a daughter of Ausie sire Epaulette (another of his daughters Meala was fancied in the Debutante at the Curragh) trained now by Patrick Gallagher in California after starting life in Ireland.  She was on 20/1, with second California Kook on 27/1 with Warren's Showtime third and Neige Blanche 4th.

At Saratoga the Fourstardave saw Halliday emerge the victor by 1 ¼ lengths to a much better Get Stormy 10/1 and Casa Creed also starting on 10/1 third.

Sunday will see the running of the Gr 1 Diana where the main interest is in the two Chad Brown stablemates Rushing Fall and Sistercharlie.  If they spend all their time eyeballing each other Starship Jubilee 11/2 is capable of causing an upset.
