Curragh on Friday

3 minute read

The going was described as Heavy which translates from the Irish means seriously heavy.

Meala didn't run in the Flame of Tara as she had a bruised foot.  The race went to Aidan's Divinely 5/1 from Ahandfulofsummers 7/1 and Ubuntu 15/2.

The Snow Fairy went to our roughie Thundering Nights who won by 1 ½ lengths from favourite Albinga and Epona Plays finished third.

The Irish Cambridgeshire saw Laughifyouwant (we didn't want) for Gerard and Colin Keane on 14/1, with Quizical and Breaking Story both trained by Sheila Lavery on 10/1 and 16/1 next, Agitare 9/1 fourth and Njord fifth.  There were some very tired horses at the end.

Then the Round Tower went to New Treasure, Jim Bolger's New Approach colt, who was on 66/1!  Teresa Mendoza was second and Coulthard third on 28/1.
