These are wonderful handicaps with big fields over a 1200m course and 24 starters.

The Silver Cup sees The Queen's King's Lyn on top with Oisin Murphy wearing the royal colours.  7/2 looks reasonable.  Atalanta's Boy is on 8/1 for David Menusier and Tom Greatrex and Admiralty 9/1 make up the single figure runners.

We are going to give a small nod to Brian The Snail as probably nobody else will.  He's on 22/1 and the poor horse is already severely handicapped with that name so he will appreciate any help he can get.

The Gold Cup sees equal facourites in Nahaar for Haggas-Marquand and Stone Of Destiny Balding – Murphy both on 13/2.  Mr Lupton is on 7/1 and pick a number after that.

There has been a bit of a hoo-ha as a runner owned by Phoenix Thoroughbreds in Ireland was entered in the Fillies Stakes and then the BHA requested it be withdrawn as they are not accepting runners owned by Phoenix even though it is trained in Ireland.
