The Sankei Sho All Comers G2 saw the two female horses quinella the race with Centelleo winning by a nose from Curren Bouquetd'or. Stay Foolish was 1 ¼ lengths away in third.

At Chukyo it was another trial for the St Leger in the Kobe Shimbun Hai where the favourite for this race - and the St Leger - Contrail made the others look as if they were standing still as he unleashed a great turn of foot to win easily.  Yahagi-sensei has now another star in his stable.  Best of the rest was Weltreisende who battled on well for second albeit two lengths back and Robertson Quay took third.
