At Sha Tin Golden Sixty won his 9th consecutive race and his 12th out of 13 starts.
It was in the G2 Sha Tin Trophy over 1600m and it was an excellent performance. Ka Ying Star led for most of the way and managed to hold on to second in a very good performance finishing ½ length behind the winner and 2 ½ lengths ahead of 3rd home Southern Legend. Champion's Way did himself no favours in the race being hard to settle and then hanging but still managed to get fourth spot.
Wishful Thinking was the outsider of the 7 horse field in the Premier Bowl and started on 45.0 but managed to win by a short head from Computer Patch. Rattan was 2 ¼ lengths away third and Hot King Prawn fourth. Trainer Dennis Yip had removed the blinkers from Wishful Thinking and that seemed to do the trick.
News that Everest winner Classique Legend is heading to Hong Kong is interesting as there doesn't seem to be a sprinter in the local ranks who could come within a wide margin of him. He's heading to Caspar Fownes' yard when he gets settled
