A furore over Furore

He wasn't a close favourite but Furore had his day at Sha Tin on Sunday.

In the feature G3 Sa Sa Ladies' Purse and under a patient ride from Joao Moreira he waited until they were into the straight and balanced up and then they went for home.  The 2019 Derby winner had not finished in the front spot since then but he had been round and about and the son of Pierro showed something of his father's tenacity in scoring this win.

Tony Cruz saddled the first two home and Exultant ran very well for his return race and did have to carry top weight.  The top two are likely to clash again in the Jockey Club Cup.  Up and coming Dances with Dragons was not far away in third with last year's winner Southern Legend finishing fourth after having to lead and race without cover.

The Asker 1000m sprint saw Stronger live up to his name and win for Douglas Whyte and Vincent Ho having started on 5.4.  Multimillion was second and Hong Kong Win third.
