The Tenno Sho (Austumn) Show was the same for the 162nd version as it was for the 161st.

That is to say it was won by Almond Eye, who was winning a record breaking 8th G1.  She travelled comfortably through the race and round the turn Lemaire waited till they were up the hill before pressing the button and away she went over the last 200m to win.  Fierement nearly added the Autumn crown to his two Spring efforts coming in second a neck in front of the more fancied Chrono Geneses.

Danon Premium had been up the front for much of the race and held on to fourth with Kisaki under Yutaka Take running a very creditable fifth.
