Double G1 winner Shadow Hero debuts at Sha Tin today

3 minute read

That's in the last race, a Class 2 over 1400m.

Before that we have the Chevalier Cup Class 1 as Race 7 over 1600m.

Buddies won the Panasonic Cup recently and is going for his third consecutive win with Tony Cruz legging-up apprentice Jerry Chau, possibly in order to get the benefit of his claim.

However he's got a serious challenger here in the form of Sky Darci, a very talented Darci Brahma 4yo.  He's moving up from Class 3 to Class 1 and from running at Happy Valley to Sha Tin, but jockey Joao Moreira is very bullish about his chances and feels he is a star in the making.  There's not much between them in the market – both around 4.0.

Lucky Express is ticking boxes as it seems the rise in trip won't be a problem.  He's on 5.4, and Fast Most Furious, who has been entered for the International Mile and who won this race last year, is on 22.0 which earns him a "roughie" tag.

Race 10 sees the much-awaited arrival on the track of Shadow Hero.  He's done well in his trials and looks to have adjusted to Hong Kong under the watchful eyes of David Hayes.  Zac Purton has the ride and he's currently the top of the 3 runners in single-figure odds on 3.4.  The other two are Happy Healthy on 4.8 and the consistent Ballistic King is on 7.4.  Our roughie here is Water Diviner on 12.0.
