Leopardstown has best race names

3 minute read

Following on the "Is It 2021 Yet ?" Stakes in September there are more great names on Sunday's card.

They include the "Only 4 More days until 2021" 3yo maiden hurdle, the "Don't Think You're Special" Beginners Chase, and the "Maybe I Like the Misery" Handicap Hurdle.  Got to love the Irish.  And don't forget the "Is It 2021 Yet?" Stakes was won by Tiger Moth who was an unlucky second in the Melbourne Cup.

However for form discussion we have to go to the more pedestrian named Paddy's Rewards Club Chase and the Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle as they are both Gr. 1.

The Chase has 6 runners with the Mullins runner Chacun Pour Soi on odds-on at 4/9.  Willie says he is running a lot straighter these days which sounds like he likes him.  We've always been a fan of Notebook and he's value on 5/1 for Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore.

The Hurdle has 10 runners with another interesting tussle between Mullins and Elliott, the former represented by Appreciate It on 2/1 and the latter by Ballyadam on 9/4.  Should they spend too much time eyeballing each other have an e/w on another Mullins runner, N'golo, on 8/1.
