Leopardstown Monday

3 minute read

Only rather normal boring names for the races on Mondays card

However there is nothing boring about the two Gr 1s.

The first of these is the Leopardstown Christmas Hurdle with 9 runners and this could be the turn of Gordon Elliott.  He saddles the first two in the market – Sire de Berlais on 5/2 and Fiery Road on 3/1.  Third in the market is Ronald Pump on 7/2 and we rather like him although would prefer better odds.

The Savills Chase Gr 1 has 14 runners and is full of interest.  RSA Chase winner Minella Indo comes here with Rachael Blackmore riding for Henry de Bromhead and they are on 5/2.  Jack Kennedy has opted for Delta Work 5/1 with the ride on the other Elliott runner Presenting Percy going to Dennis O'Regan – they are 6/1.  We have a roughie here in Melon, a very consistent Mullins runner on 20/1.
