His mission was helped by fav Minella Indo falling at the 8th and Delta Work unseating his substitute rider (more below).

Kemboy and Melon (our roughie) looked as if they were going to fight it out but A Plus Tard was not waiting for later and reeled them both in.

Jack Kennedy is recovering from a broken shoulder and while one doctor thought he would be able to ride the orthopoedics man said it would be better if he waited a bit more so he was stood down from his rides.

In the Christmas Hurdle Flooring Porter led from the start and just when it looked like Sire de Berlais was going to catch him he kicked again and scored a nice win.  The Story Teller took second and Sire de Berlais third.

Willie Mullins got a 4-timer on the day and has some prospects for Tuesday's races.

In the Neville Hotels Novice Chase Gr 1 he will saddle the seriously talented Monkfish whose main rival Latest Exhibition has been second to him in the Albert Bartlett and this could be the finishing order again.

The Matheson Hurdle Gr 1 has 8 runners headed by Saint Roi for Mullins-Mark Walsh on 7/4 with Abacadabras on 10/3.

Sharjah is going for his third win in this race and some think his lack of a prep run could be a problem but we'll give him a go at 7/1.
