One trainer (Fownes) and two jockeys (Moreira and Badel) had trebles on Friday.

And of course 11 horses had birthday presents, even if they weren't always the ones we expected. 

The Bauhinia Sprint did not go to the hot favourite Computer Patch who ran a shocker but to the well-behaved Explosive Witness from Caspar Fownes yard with Alexis Badel in the irons.  They went off at 7.5 and it was Stronger who made the quinella.  Computer Patch has now been required to trial before his next race.

The other G3 the Chinese Club Challenge Cup Champion's Way was the surprise winner for John Size and Karis Teetan.  They were on 8.7 with Sky Darci second and Mighty Giant third.

California Rad kept up the good work in the first of the Class 2s over 1200m, with Team Spirit only a nose away for Chris So on 88.0. One of our two 15.0 picks Lockheed ran third and Beauty Applause still waiting for that elusive win finished fourth.

The get-out Race 11 went to Circuit Three with Maximus second and Lucky Express third so we have to be happy with the QP.
