This Gr2 for the 3yo gave 50 Kentucky Derby points to the winner.

That should be enough for Greatest Honor to continue to the Kentucky Derby, possibly via the Florida Derby.  He was given a top ride by J-L Ortiz who steered him into the clear and to pass Drain The Clock and finish 1 ½ lengths in front of that horse.  Papetu was third.

In the Davona Dale Gr 2 for the 3yo fillies Wholebodmeister won by 6 ½ lengths from Crazy Beautiful.  Favourite Vequist was eased back and post-race found to have mucus in the trachea.
