Yes, the race was run on Saturday after some stop-start moments.

The winner, who at all stages looked like the winner, was favourite Special Reprieve.  He jumped well and had plenty of stamina to increase his lead towards the end and now will head to Aintree.

Tight finish between The Two Amigos and Yala Enki with only a neck between them but 3 lengths behind the winner.

Unfortunately for the Tizzard family Christmas in April was pulled up – it could have been that the heavy going was the problem.

One of our favourite horses, Might Bite, has been retired.  He had talent and quirkiness in abundance and when he was racing it was never dull.  We wish him a very happy retirement!

We understand that not unexpectedly horse transporters are having considerable difficulties post Brexit.
