Way to go Knicks Go

3 minute read

The Korean Racing Association has had a bad 2020.

The Pandemic has forced it to cancel many of its major races and to hold others behind closed doors and without income as there is no off-course betting in Korea.

But things might be turning the corner, heralded by the win of their horse Go Knicks in the Pegasus Dirt.  Go Knicks went to the front and stayed there and was able to finish 2 ¾ lengths ahead of Jesus' Team and Independence Hall.

Go Knicks had a good 2yo year but did nothing as a 3yo and then joined Brad Cox's yard and hasn't looked back, winning the Bad Ass and now the Pegasus.  He's now won prize money over $US 3 million.  He's won an automatic entry into the Saudi Cup but Cox says that is 50-50.  There's also an invite in the Dubai World Cup which might be a better go.

The Turf version went to Pletcher's Colonel Liam from the stablemate Largent with Pletcher's third entry Social Paranoia fourth home in a good result for the stable.  The third spot was taken by Cross Border.
