Wet and muddy conditions at Nakayama and Chukyo

This was the cause of a couple of upsets on the day.

Although there was no major surprise about the winner of the American Jockey Club Cup at Nakayama as it was all Aristoteles under Christophe Lemaire and since they were in a good spot for most of the race they didn't get the worst of the kick back.  Weltreisdender was second with Last Draft third and Stay Foolish fourth and not much distance between the top four.

In Chukyo the conditions on the dirt track were described as sloppy which is polite speak for a mud bath.  Auvergne made the most of it with Another Truth 1 ¾ lengths away second and Memory Ko who started on 80.0 a nose away third, and Dieu du Vin a neck away fourth.
